Consignment Policies:

  1. Consignments are accepted Tuesday through Saturday from 11:00am to 4:00 pm.
  2. A maximum of 25 items per day will be considered for new and current consignors.
  3. For larger pieces, we ask that you e-mail a picture to finderskeepersfurnishings@gmail.com before you bring it over to make sure it is an item we can sell. All approvals via e-mail are subject to visual inspection upon arrival for final approval.
  4. What merchandise will be accepted and how it will be priced is determined by the staff of Finders Keepers, according to their experience and knowledge of current market values.
  5. Any information you have about an item’s original history and pricing is appreciated.
  6. Prices are reduced 25% after 60 days.
  7. Items priced at $100 and above will only be reduced by 50%.
  8. Items are subject to sales and discounts at the store’s discretion.
  9. Items are kept in the store for 90 days and are subject to donation after the 90th Unsold items are donated to charity.
  10. The consignor may pick up unsold items after 25 days. Any item picked up prior to 25 days will incur a 25% charge against the account per item.
  11. The consignor is responsible for locating unsold items in the store. We will print a list of unsold items, but we will not look for them for you.
  12. After 100 days any unsold items become the property of Finders Keepers.
  13. Consignment splits are as follows and are based on the item’s final selling price:
    1. $1 to $49:        40% to Consignor/60% to Store
    2. $50 to $99: 45% to Consignor/55% to Store
    3. $100 and up: 50% to Consignor/50% to Store
  14. There is a $12 annual membership fee that is deducted from consignor’s account with the 1st consignment of each calendar year.
  15. Payment: Consignors may pick up money on their account anytime during regular business hours. Cash is given for amount under $50 and a check will be written for amounts over $50. Consignment checks are printed and mailed every month for accounts with combined balance of $50 or more from all locations during the first week of the month. The mailing fee is $1.25. It is your responsibility to keep your address current with Finders Keepers. If a check is lost in the mail and is not returned to the store by the post office, a check will be reissued in 100 days from the issue date on the check after it has been determined that the check has not been cashed or deposited. If any check from Finders Keepers is not chased or deposited within 13 months of issuance it is null and void and the funds are forfeited. Please deposit your checks right away to avoid this. You have the option to not have checks mailed to you if you prefer to retrieve your funds in person. Let us know of your preferences regarding mailing checks. ID is required to collect money on consignment accounts.
  16. We do our best to care for your items but there is no guarantee against theft or damage.

We have a large database of consignors and cannot make exceptions to any of our policies. We must be very selective in the merchandise we accept for consignment, so please do not be offended if your items are not accepted. We rely on years of experience to know what will sell to our customers. Our consignment partnership is based on mutual respect. Any consignor who becomes adversarial with the staff of Finders Keepers will have their consignment account closed.
